CD huh?

is this about an optical disc comeback? Nope.

There are lots of articles out there about creating a new disability symbol.

I’d like to humbly submit some ideas…

I am reclaiming the Crip term, like many others.

I have come to believe after being physically disabled for eighteen years (and neurodiverse my whole life) that it is better to be open, seen, and unashamed than hide anymore.

I am mostly invisibly disabled, like many, and although I use a walker, it is not because my legs are weak, more like my whole body just aint so reliable any more.

The D? Disabled, or for DO.

Cos Crips Do a lot more than you might think.

I’m also Mad! Or neurodiverse, or ADHD, ASD, depressed, anxious, and as a result of all that, PTSD!

Crip Disabled Mad

Or having some fun,

Crips Do it MAD!

Crips DO More

or even more fun

Crips Do More,

Crips Do it on the Floor

Cos we can’t walk so easily, get it? 😀
